A running log of what we've shipped for MagicTrees.ai. We keep this page updated by hand as new ways to grow, prune, and share your idea trees roll out — newest first.

  1. Latest

    Easier to read, easier to start

    • Paste a long brief into a new tree, the home page or the assistant and it is sent whole — line breaks and all. Anything too long for the AI to read at once now says so, instead of quietly doing nothing.
    • Trees open at a readable zoom on a desktop instead of shrinking to fit, and the zoom you leave a tree at is kept when it is readable.
    • PDF exports are framed on the tree itself, and their text can be searched, selected and copied.
    • Voice Mode waits for you to finish your thought before it answers, and the mic button interrupts a reply. Tap the mic to dictate, or hold it and let go.
    • The menu beside a tree's name shows when it was created and last edited.
    • New AI models to choose from: Claude Sonnet 5.5, Claude Opus 5.5 and GPT-6 Luna.
    • The MCP server has its own page, showing how to connect Claude, Cursor or any MCP agent to your trees.

  2. A workspace built for growing

    • The Grow workspace is now the main editor: drag a growth tool from the toolbox onto any node, and keep display, quantity and speed on the settings rail beside it.
    • Lasso select — draw a loop around the nodes you want.
    • Give one node its own colour, style or size, resize cards by dragging a corner, and move branches by hand with snap-to-grid.
    • The assistant's reply streams in as it works, and you watch the tree grow while it builds. A turn keeps running if you reload, and Stop really stops it.
    • Paste or attach images in the chat and the assistant can see them.
    • Branches you prune stay pruned — the AI stops suggesting them back.
    • Anyone viewing a shared tree can select, fold and unfold it.

  3. Projects, the Library, and talking to your tree

    • Projects group your trees and share their context with the AI.
    • The Library: start from real example trees and templates.
    • Start a tree as a conversation — your first message goes to the assistant, and it designs the tree around what you asked.
    • Dictate into the composer, or talk to your tree in Voice Mode — you can even start a new tree by talking.
    • Export a tree as Markdown, a Word document or a PDF, and export your chat as Markdown.
    • A guided tour walks through any tree, and can be saved as a video.
    • Drop or paste files into a message so the AI has more to work with.
    • Growing asks what you want — a few ideas or all of them — instead of a number.
    • A product tour and a Tips & shortcuts sheet for finding your way around.
    • The MCP server: connect Claude, Cursor or another agent with an API key from Settings → API & MCP.

  4. Voice & hands-free brainstorming

    • Talk through an idea out loud and watch the tree grow — no typing required.
    • Hands-free mode keeps the conversation going while you think, sketch, or pace.

  5. The assistant moved home

    • The AI assistant chat is now docked to the left and runs full height, so it's always in reach.
    • It reads and edits your tree in place — ask it to grow a branch, prune a dead end, or reorganize.

  6. Outline view, everywhere

    • A new outline view sits alongside the canvas — switch based on how you like to think.
    • Outline is now the default on mobile, so trees stay readable on small screens.

  7. Take your trees anywhere

    • Export any tree to JSON and import it back — bring ideas in, take them with you.
    • Full undo/redo across the whole tree means you can experiment without fear.

  8. Share a living tree

    • Publish any tree to a shareable public link that anyone can explore.
    • Pan and zoom now persist, so a shared tree opens exactly how you left it.

  9. A calmer workspace

    • A collapsible left sidebar keeps your recent trees one click away.
    • Collapse it for a distraction-free canvas when you're deep in an idea.
